This is the Utah electronic high school web site (I’m taking a few classes online so I don’t have to actually take them at school). I just thought it was ironic that it says, “EHS does not discriminate,” right under the extremely faithist U.S. motto “In God we trust.” The fact that the U.S. still uses that motto even though we are clearly not a theocracy seems rather discriminatory to me.
The actual motto before congress did the in god we trust thing in 1956 was E pluribus unum.
What a world of difference. Is there a doubt why we have to constantly work to make sure that the separation of church and state is not violated? See FFRF.org or AU.org for details.
